Awesome pickup!! It's amazing that any of these unopened items are still around.
The Piedmont Tin is smaller than a carton and evidently held 100 single cigarettes. I thought it might be a carton when I bought it, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It's from FActory 25 2nd dist of VA and has a Dewitt Clinton 100 cigarettes tax stamp series of 1910 act of aug 5, 1910.
The fact that it has advertising inside the top makes me think it sat on the counter to sell singles, but maybe they sold these to chain smokers or 5 pack a day guys. Too bad they didn't insert something like t200's in these.
