There are often mitigating factors and an AUT grade does not always denote intent to deceive. Take a Fleischman's (sp?) with the tab cut off, SGC won't grade without the tab but you can have it encapsulated as Authentic. I prefer to have it slabbed but in no way does the AUT grade mean that I am trying to deceive anyone about the card.
