This variation is well known to serious collectors of the 1949 LEAF BaseBall set.
Recent sold prices of this card (on ebay or at shows) range from $250 - $400
for Vg-Ex to Ex/Mt cards.
It is definitely a "short-printed" variation card from the 1st Series of this set.
Incidently, in the Fall issue of the Old Cardboard magazine, I have written a
detailed article on the 1949 Leaf set.
