As immature, childish and rude some posts on here can be, they are nothing like most of the nonsense on, for example, the Beckett Boards. (Sorry Rich, Beckett is cool, but where do you find these people on your Boards)???

At least here, almost all inquiries are addressed by folks who are very knowledgeable about the hobby and who are willing to share their insight. With regard to the obligatory, unnecessary jabs and unfounded "viewpoints," they can be ignored. They can also be addressed, it's up to you, but realize that you may not always be presented with (what many times is not) a coherent response. I don't think it's much different than some people we work with/against/etc.

We all should check the Beckett Boards once in a while and be happy that this Board (usually) doesn't stoop to those levels. (Thanks, Leon)!
