Yes, you are correct that Triandos was the only guy who could handle Wilhelm's knuckler. And,
because of this, he was the catcher who caught Wilhelm's NO-HITTER (9/2/58 Balt. 1 - NYY 0).

Also in 1958....Jim Bunning pitched his 1st NO-Hitter (Detroit 3 vs Boston 0).

And, on June 21, 1964 Bunning (Phillies) pitched a PERFECT NO-HITTER vs the NY Mets

Guess who caught that game.......Gus Triandos.

So, both of these guys have been involved with No-Hitters in both Leagues.
I don't think there are other Major Leaguers that have done this ?

Another TRIVIA ?....Who pitched a NO-HITTER in his 1st ML appearance ?

HINT....he is on a tough T206 card.
