BobWow Scott! I was going to post that exact quote. Great minds, huh? Rick- I had the same experience, I started collecting pre-war in the early 80's, gave it up in the late 80's and sold (to my chagrin) almost everything, and started the long trek back, thanks in great part to ebay, in the early 90's and have never regretted it.
I had to grin at leon's post somewhere in one of these threads when he commented on the fact that he didn't share a poster's concern about the shape of his cards 100 years from now. Me either. If they still exist in nice shape I will be glad they are passed on to someone else. I feel sometimes like we are only renting these cards we own. With only daughters (but one small grandson!), the chances are 30 years from now someone might be bidding on and wondering who the hell "tbob" is when the lot is described as from the "tbob" collection.
