Gilbert MainesThe rules haven't changed. If the shipping isn't stated, the buyer needs to determine that (as well as other relevant factors) prior to bidding. When this is overlooked, the Wake's approach sounds reasonable ie. tell the seller to not ship the card and advise him that he is getting a negative. You thereby complete the transaction and the seller has no legitimate beef against you.
Of course, this would not apply to relatively expensive cards, but sellers are not charging 90% card value for shipping on costly items.
