HalThanks! I've been here awhile, but I've been nervous about posting because there's another Hal on the board and I was afraid people might think I'm pretending to be him. I posted once before, in an old thread on the BF2 pennants, regarding a question I've had for awhile. The 1986 book "Classic Baseball Cards" pictures an ad for the BF2 pennants on one of the section intro pages (I believe it's near the lower right corner of an odd-numbered page but I'm not sure). The ad also mentions a card set, but the portion of the ad showing the card and the name of the producer is not visible. However, the brand name "Peerless Bread" is shown. Peerless Bread is one of the brands advertised on one of the backs in the D304 General Baking set, which leads me to believe that not only were the pennants made by General Baking (possibly in addition to Ferguson), but that they were marketed together with the D304, which is likely the card set referred to in the ad. A search of this board turned up at least one other old post regarding this ad. Unfortunately, the thread I posted in had ended, so I got no responses at the time, but I have always wondered about this. What do you think?
