Bill Stone"Raw Meat" Rodgers was coaching the Portland Beavers in September 1928. He had a short major league career in 1915 and 1916 and I believe he was involved with the Kansas City team as Secretary and business manager in 1933. The stories were told that he always ordered and ate his steaks raw hence his nickname.
