Martin, maybe I've bought some of your fish. I went to South Nags Head for a week long vacation each year for about 5 years, ending about 5 years ago. And we would go the fish packing company on Wanchese to buy fresh shrimp and tuna. Especially the tuna. $5 per pound, fresh that day. Still one of my best memories from the beach.
I bought a house in Menlo Park, CA (Bay area peninsula) in 1974, cashed it in to trade even for a house in eastern Washington (Spokane area), and paid it off several years ago.
Mortgage? don't need one.
