Chris CountsSo who actually did the artwork for the '33 set? We know it wasn't Walt Kelly and I find it hard to believe it was Bela Lugosi, who was probably too busy making scary movies to paint hundreds of baseball images (he was reaching the peak of his career in '33). I've always been fascinated by the artwork on the most colorful sets, particularly Goudeys, Diamond Stars and 1950-52 Bowmans. Does anybody have any info on these seemingly anomymous artists?
