Jay - no pressure is applied on the card at all. I believe that the Beckett case is made from a much more brittle (and harder) plastic than PSA, SGC and GAI so it tends to crack and splinter rather than bow.

I have probably cracked about 50 Beckett cases and have never had a problem with bent cards.
