Jim HoffmanToday's NYPost also talks about the absurdity of Steiner Sports sending emails to their customers almost immediately after Puckett's death--using the tragedy as a sales pitch.
If it were my item to sell, I would wait at least a few days after the funeral stories have run in the newspapers. I guess it would be safe to figure on two weeks after the player's death.
It's a fine balance between selling your stuff and coming across as a ghoulish opportunist.
