As someone who also fell into a very large grouping of these cards, I would definately encourage you to go for the set (master or regular). Personally I love the gold borders and even though my master set is complete, I continue to spend massive amounts of my free time researching these wonderful cards.

This set has a little bit of everything, HOFers, tough variations, stats/bio, minor leaguers, it's a grand adventure. Since you are that close, I would jump at the chance to put it to bed. I originally had purchased my large lot of T205s (w/Cobb, Johnson, Matty, Young, etc) with the sole intention of flipping them...took about 1 mintue after they arrived to change my mind. Out of curiosity which regular/variation cards were missing?
