Default E-UNC MATTY?

Posted By: Brian Goldner

is from personal experience.

I grew up as a neighbor of Ray Billbrough, and it was he who introduced me to pre-war cards, in about 1969. The reason that there isn't much internet info on Ray, is that he sold his vast collection in around 1971. I believe that Frank Nagy ended up with most, if not all of it.

The only show where i remember Ray setting up, was at the Statler Hilton in Detroit, in September of 1970. I was there that day (age 10), and still have the convention program. In that program, there is mention of The Classic Cards.

There is only 3 of these known to exist?
FKW, if that statement is true, which i highly doubt, then you can make it 4, as i have one as well, which came from Ray.

With regard to Ed, i lost track of him in the late 1970's or so (college years), so i not sure if he is still living, or what became of his collection. If still living, i believe that he would be in his mid-80's today.

In closing, Thank you Leon, it is my pleasure to contribute to the discussion.
