I still think the best recourse is using eBay's replica/counterfiet reporting link to report the item. I really dont know if eBay will do anything, but maybe they will if enough of us reported it. As far as contacting a bidder about a scam, I have done it in the past without any problems, but I suspect there could be issues depending on how you go about it. eBay's policy states the following: eBay allows members to contact one another through the eBay Email Forwarding System, with features such as "Contact an eBay Member" and "Ask Seller a Question". The purpose of these features is to provide an open avenue of communication between eBay users"
