I very faintly recall your Grandfather Wally Hood in 1949
as a pitcher. He wore two uniform #s in 1949, #39 and #52.

I believe the Yankees brought him up from the Kansas City
Blues of the American Association. He also pitched for the
Newark Bears of the International League that year.
