Ruth has not only stood the test of time, he is
becoming a greater "legend" as time goes on. The
American people love a HERO.
Will Lennon reach such heights in American folk-
lore as time goes on ? I don't think so....Paul
McCartney has a better chance. Lennon's life was cut
short and his untimely death in a tragic way helps
his popularity in the short term. After the '60s
generation is gone....Lennon's memory will fade.
What energizes male kid's curiosity first....Base
Ball or Rock-n-Roll ? You got it....BaseBall, and
that starts a "love fest" that lasts a lifetime.
And, this is why the Babe will endure.
