Default 1940 play ball cards

Posted By: Chris Counts

Eddie,

I once picked up some 1941 Play Balls that were glued to the pages of a scrapbook. I soaked them overnight and simply peeled the cards off the scrapbook pages. The cards tend to warp at bit when they dry out, but after I pressed them between a couple books, they turned out fine. One thing to consider, though, is that some types of glue aren't water soluable, so you may end up with some glue and paper stuck to the card ...

While 1940 Play Balls aren't the hottest cards in the market, there are many who do collect and appreciate them. The high numbers (181-240) are tougher to find and worth more as well.
