After coming back into the hobby after a long hiatus, I've found most of the people I've come across are really exceptional. This kind of stuff is noisy and gets lots of attention, but I truly believe it's the exception to the rule. In fact, it's good to know it goes on, in a weird way, as it prevents me from being lulled into a state of uber naivete by my almost universal happy dealings with other collectors.
