Here is my recommendation: The cards have been in your family for 100 years. They have appreciated well over that interval. They will likely continue to do so.

If you need cash for expenses, sell the worst cards first. If you want cash to invest in something else - please tell me what that is - I am interested in investment opportunities better than 100 year old baseball cards.
