I am responding as a dealer who does leave cards up that I have sold. I use to do this to show that I do move inventory. This is no longer the reason. I now do so for two reasons. It is fairly quick to mark an item as sold. It takes longer to delete the listing and the image on my site. If I do not remove the image, I consume more disk space than I should and I can run out of space. The most important reason for me is to have the image up until I hear from my customer that they received the card that I sent. I do this so that if they have any question about the card, they can still check out the scan. I do not hear back from very many that they received the card, so I wait. I clear my site up every few weeks.
