tbobMarc- All I can say is that 7 years ago I was going to consign many items to a major auction house. I was told that they wanted to graded several of the cards because it would really bring the price up. The guy who discussed this with me specifically told me, straight out and openly, that they needed to submit them (instead of me)because they would get a better grade if they submitted them.
