Default This isn't very encouraging for BVG

I agree. When a new person to vintage collecting sees a card like this on ebay or even the ?auth? label by PSA on a card I think all they see is the graders label and then bid. Another thing I think that happens is that a person sees lets say a Ty Cobb T206 red port in a case that says auth? I believe that the people bidding on these cards are new and uneducated so the person thinks hey this maybe real and the graders aren't sure so i'm going to take a shot, it doesn't say its FAKE just that it maybe fake. I think this whole ?auth thing is dumb and they just need to put a big marker that says FAKE on the toploader. Edited to add that if you are new to vintage don't go looking for a 50 dollar Ty Cobb. What you need to do is buy a few commons and get the feel of it and EDUCATE yourself. These cards with the whole ?auth thing or the this maybe real or not are all scams so don't waste your money. When a guy says this maybe real then its fake.
