I've been looking at that lot and the picture of the child looks more like an ambrotype, which would date it to about 1860. A daguerreotype has a mirror surface and is reflective; the image you attached doesn't have that look. There are no known dags featuring anyone young or old holding baseball equipment; a child holding a ball is in itself pretty remarkable. But I'm not sure they know the difference between a dag or an ambro. The lot needs further research.
