You are correct.
I have his 1933 Goudey card (#221); and it reads that he
was the A.L. Batting champ in 1932 (.367). It is strange;
however, that in 1932 he was traded from Detroit to the
Red Sox.
It is even more strange that he had such a short BB career
(only 5 yrs). During those years he batted a .331 Average.
