Were you watching the same Yankees/Angels game I was? I can't speak to their current citizenship status, but I saw 9 of the 18 starters (Matsui, Cano, Williams, Posada, Wang, Cabrera, Guerrero, Molina and Rivera) being foreign born players.

Seems like 50% is well within the range of possibility.
