Marc S.I don't have enough data/information on the set - but could it have been issued over a number of years?
I'm thinking specifically of Eppa Rixey. He last played for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1920 - but he is clearly pictured as a Phillie on his Curtis Ireland card. 1921 makes sense. 1923 seems quite a bit off.
Jimmie Keenan is another example. Played one game in 1920 - and had a very short stint in 1921 before he disappeared from the majors.
