Judge Dred (Fred)Ryan,
Going public with the information (as Keith did) serves the members of this forum by providing them with information on whether or not to go forward with any pending deals with people that may not be as honest as we think.
There are two sides to a story and if the board member cares to respond to the accusations then people can make their own informed decisions on whether to commit to any future or pending deals.
I was once on the wrong end of a $30K deal that I finally resolved with little loss but that feeling of being ripped off (or potentially ripped off) is really unsettling.
Also, I didn't sit back and relax after ensuring my money was recovered, I went the extra mile to have charges brought against that stupid SOB. To this day my blood still boils when I think of what that A-hole tried to do. Most everyone knows who I'm talking about if I indicate that the person is from Canada and his first name is Jason. No need to go any further.
Even if you get your money back, at a minimum, you need to expose this type of behavior so others don't get caught in the same situation you did.
