Why not the Salvation Army rather than the Red Cross? The Salvation Army has much less of a "bottom line" and way more of their cash goes directly to helping people. The CEO of the Salvation Army earns $13K per year plus a housing stipend. The CEO of the ARC earns almost $500K with bonuses when donation quotas are met.
