You misunderstood my use of the word "can" .I meant can as in they could be related but they dont have to,as in this particular case. I didnt mean they definitely arent related.I would've said "cannot be" in that case.Might sound like a subtle difference but thats hard to show over the computer....hmm where has this happened before recently

Saying it the other way as you took it sounds like lawyer/old-time detective talk.
