WARSHAWLAWBut it makes sense given how expensive a better condition copy of the card is likely to be. There are sets where people will pay what it takes to get any cards (like E107), and then there are cards where people will get in on a low grade specimen of a card that sells well into five or even six figures. It really isn't any different than paying $250 for a fair condition E92 Young, other than size of purchase. A lot of people will satisfy themselves paying 5%-10% of the high grade price for low grade.
