ErikV As much as the economics in the game have changed and as big as the steroid issue is rite now in baseball, I've found myself actually going to more games in the past 2-3 seasons than in the previous 10+ seasons. For the third year in a row I've made it to at least one Dodgers, Angels, Padres and Diamondback game. I live 3 miles from Angels Staduim so this in itself helps, but, this is just my humble opinion, even if today's ballplayers are primadonna multi-millionaires, the experience of todays fans are still very similar to the fans that went to a game as far back as the '40's, '50's, and '60's. Being in the stands, watching two teams play enjoying a hot dog, peanuts or the like has always been the essence of going to a baseball game. It's for this love of the game. It's for this reason that I've begun taking my 5 year old son with me to games and hopefully he'll embrace the game with same passion as I once did! Don't forget, that even though teams move, new rules get implimented or new faces appear, there's still someting special about going to and experiencing a day at the ballpark!
