There was mention made a few days ago that the rookie OF form Atlanta, Francour was the first major league to not draw a walk in his first 100 plate appearances. This struck me as somewhat amazing given the fact that for a number of years it took 7 balls to get a walk. In fact, in 1886, Piano Legs Gore drew 102 walks in 118 games when you still needed 7 balls for the BB. I find this mark much more incredible than any single season record Bonds has set.
