Bottom of the NinthHate to get in the middle of the battle over symantics but here is a link from SGC's page on Explantion of Rejections. SGC could have rejected Dan's items coded as NO, which means Cannot/Do Not Grade. Based on that option available to SGC, it would appear they felt the items were not legit at the time of submission. http://www.sgccard.com/default.asp?PageID=2 Clearly SGC, as does GAI and PSA, distinguish between "questionable authenticity" and an "inability to grade."
With all of that said, I feel that SGC does a remarkable job.
