Hello,
I am new to the board but have been reading some of the discussion topics on this forum. It is very interesting and I really wish I had become a member prior to making some costly mistakes. Well I guess that's how you learn.

Anyway, here's a link to a fake 1895 Mayo Anson that I purchased off a Yahoo! auction(automatic red flag as I've come to learn). I'll admit that I'm embarassed that I actually was fooled into purchasing this item along with a few other items.

Thanks for your feedback in a previous note relative to identifying counterfeit vintage cards. I took a look at this one and it had the multi colored(red,green) dot pattern. I also noticed that the text on the name was solid in the center but also showed the multi colored patterns around the edge of each letter.

I'm looking forward to joining the forum and learning from the folks here. Thanks.
