Since it seems most stories about Palmeiro are leaving this out....Stanozolol(Winstrol) can stay in your system for 18 months so this might be a result of use in the past. It is a potent anabolic steroid but will not put much water weight on you and therefore Palmeiro could stay relatively the same size while on this drug. It does increase red blood cell count which helps with stamina and endurance so this could be the benifit he was after.
