Judge Dred (Fred)This is great information! Here's the tally on the backs (up to now):
Brunners: 66
General Baking: 14
Butter Krust (Fleischmans?): 6
Weber: 3
Martens: 3
I'm a little confused (as usual). I have a Brunners "Butter Krust" and I've seen one report of a Fleischmans "Butter Krust". I can only assume that "Butter Krust" is a type of bread and that a few different bakeries distributed product with the "Butter Krust" name. I have posted two different backs (Brunners "Butter Krust" and General Baking).
I don't buy an SCD (Bible) Standard Catalog every year because to me the publication serves as a good check list and the prices usually don't reflect the true value of many of the different issues. The edition I have (a few years old) indicates the following backs:
- Brunners
- Butter Krust
- General Baking
- Weber Bakery
In no way am I demeaning the efforts of SCD guide (Bob Lemke) because just putting together such a comprehensive checklist and informational guide is something every hobbyist should greatly appreciate, if there's a hobbyist HOF he should be in the initial list of inductees based on his contributions (nuff said).
Would anyone else care to post different backs.
Thanks for the contributions so far - this is what makes this board so great!
