If they did it that way... they would have to go back to balanced schedules so that all of the NL teams would play roughly the same number of games against every team.

I would be all in favor of this... but I think the new "unbalanced" scheduling keeps the players from having to make a lot of East to West road trips for 3 weeks... so they LOVE it the way it is.
