Default baseball research question

Posted By: john/z28jd

Answer straight from the Hall of Fame which means the encyclopedia's(and online sites)have been wrong for poor Bud Heine. If i ever make a baseball movie im going to use him in it.Heres the response......

John,

The box score that we sent to you is from the League Official Averages, otherwise known as the "Day by Days". These "Day by days" were calculated by ICI (Information Concept International) in 1969 by looking at previous newspaper publications. I do not know what sources the online sites you mentioned used to calculate their statistics, but the League Official Averages are recognized as being an authoritative source. You may want to try emailing the online sites that you have found his statistics at and tell them about this information and/or ask them what sources they used to calculate his statistics. I hope this information helps you and please contact us again if you have further questions.
