Barry Bonds is a perfect example of the problem I have with using OPS to evaluate offensive worth - you get OPS simply by adding "on base %" to "slugging %". So Bonds gets credit for all the times he was intentionally walked, even though that was done INTENTIONALLY in order to lessen his potential offensive damage, i.e., he was put on base when it didn't matter...sometimes anyway.
