What I'm saying is that you can provide a perfect scan of a wonderful T206 card, bring it before the board and there will a few people who will comment about how it's 1/16th off to the right or how the top looks like it was introduced to finger nail scissors.
I once saw a perfect (blazing!) Fred Merkle T206 Portrait on eBay last year and I knew it was good but I wondered why no one else was bidding on it and it sold for like $65. Submitted, it was probably an 8 and worth about $700-800 or so. If it was graded, there would be no questions about anything on this card.
I'm guilty of being a tad paranoid. I don't like purchasing ungraded cards via the internet. I prefer holding card and making my purchasing decisions that way. That's just me.
