scott brockelmanunless you see an item you just have to have, the sotheby's auctions are far different from our run of the mill vintage card auctions. if you thought the REA shipping was an issue(which was quickly resolved), sotheby's uses a shipping company to ship everything at highly inflated prices. plan ahead to have someone, anyone, pick up the item in person. this will save $100's on even a single slabbed card.
ALSO, they will charge sales tax, regardless of where you live. they were busted a few years ago in a sales tax scam and now charge everyone, so be prepared to come up with a tax ID to prevent that as well.
between the above 2 items your $1,000 after the BP item could cost $1,300-1,400
