Is it just the brilliant sunshine in Vancouver affecting my computer screen, or are the Sotheby images somewhat overexposed?

They also seem to be taken at low resolution, so it is even harder to pick up fine faults or detail in the offered pieces. Certainly, they don't come across nearly as well as images posted on Mastro, REA or scgaynor.
