On a similar note; I had given my wife a Christmas "wish list" this past year. We each have separate ebay accounts. An item was listed in late November that I really had been looking to acquire. The list that I had provided to my wife was so expansive that I never thought there would be a chance for duplicate bids. I rarely focus on the high bidder's identity and consequently sniped my wife and bought one of my own Christmas presents. We did not realize this until the item arrived in the mail.
