Default T204 TTT's

Posted By: Peter Thomas

Rich, your Coakley adds one to the list which is now at 49. Bruce your Hobitzel looks much better than the one that Scott has which he describes as Fair/Good. Ben your now missing Jones will not get by me and I will find it if it gets out there. Joe your Lord is only the second one that I know of - Scott has the other. Leon your Bancroft is looking for a trade to Florida and I know Criger is going to like Texas.

On the question of rareness in relation to black backs there are two types of blank backs to discuss. The first are the square bordered cards which I believe have populations of 10 to 15 with the exception of Anderson (3), but because the front of the card is very different they are more valuable. The second are blank backs on regular cards - these seem to have some that are thin like they have been skinned of a layer of paper and the others seem to be full thickness I have about 5 of these cards and they match up pretty well with the square borders cards and may be test cards as were the square bordered cards. Scott knows much more about this than I. As for the TTT's I don't know of any cards with a population over 6, but since the grading companies don't keep track of the TTT backs the population is hard to know, but they are rare. Since there now at least 49 cards known with TTT backs the total population of TTT backs exceeds that of the blanks backs, but on a card by card basis I think they are about equally rare.
