Default T222

Posted By: Bill Cornell

Even though the prices were high for all of them, there's a huge gap in their difficulties. Hamilton, Lobert, Baumgardner, L.Magee, S.Magee, Smith and Leibold are all "high numbers" (the number in the lower left corner); these are rarely seen. L.Magee hasn't been listed on eBay once in the past 3 years. The rest of them (Brown, McLean, Saier, Tyler, Perdue, Maisel and Murphy) are commons, at least 10x easier to find.

For example, Murphy went for $711 today. There have been 8 of them on eBay in the past 3 years (data below). Even given the better condition of the one that sold today, that's a huge jump.

Murphy 02/08/05 157.50 FR. Heavy crease, burn mark. 15 bids.
Murphy 01/16/05 89.95 FR. 2 heavy creases. 1 bids.
Murphy 4/4/04 156.27 VG-EX 17 bids.
Murphy 1/17/04 295.00 VG. 13 bids.
Murphy 7/1/03 40.87 PR. Trimmed. 4 bids.
Murphy 8/13/02 100.00 GD. Appears short. Sold at BIN price. 1 bid.
Murphy 6/19/02 76.00 VG. No scan provided. 9 bids.
Murphy 3/10/02 46.89 FR-GD. Heavy crease and missing corner. 12 bids.

Edited to add that this t222 data is also on my website: http://www.t207.com/t222.htm.
