Benbut there are still a few mortal locks and one of them is that strip cards will never be anything but unpopular.
I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one Bill, I think the 20's strip sets that look great and are difficult to find, yet they still fly under the radar. I think it's because we associate them with the "red headed stepchildren" strip sets, such as W512 or W515.
Some of the sets I'm talking about:
W503 - how many of these have you seen? they look great!
W517 - nice big 3" x 4" cards, fully stocked with stars and HOFers and colour variations.
W553 - Again, you dont often see these cards, but they have a cool looking ornate frame and nice crisp photos.
W574 - I donno if I'm alone on this one, but I think these are neat. Sorta squarish looking, simple design, but the photo quality is as clear as day. Same goes for W590.
The 20's caramels have already picked up alot in the past year, and I think the sharper looking strip sets will follow suit.
