here's a blurb from a 1963 rose that he sold:
"Up for Auction are three vintage baseball cards. Six or seven years ago a sports card shop was going out of business in my town and I knew these were valuable cards. The lady who ran the shop was selling the cards at a fraction of what they were worth. Her husband was the orginal owner of the shop and died, so she was just trying to get rid of the cards. The shop had a lot of old cards and I bought quite a few. They will be up for auction soon."
to me, sounds like variations of the "trunk in the attic" story.
could be real, but there are other psa 2 ruth's i'd rather take my chances on.
