Would it change things if the buyer granted an irrevocable option to the seller to repurchase the card at the time the buyer wanted to sell it or at his death? Would that make you willing to sell a "unique" card?

As far as what I'd do with the money, I'd keep it very quiet, would use several dealers to locate the cards, and would attend every show in sight for a year or two. After all, finding the cards is half the fun, isn't it?
